Tiffany Stratton hasn’t been seen since dropping the WWE Women’s Championship to Jade Cargill—and now we finally know why.

After weeks of silence, the January 9, 2026 edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter revealed what fans have been speculating since her brutal title loss at Saturday Night’s Main Event. According to Dave Meltzer:

“Stratton has been out of action with an injury.”

No further details were provided, but the confirmation explains Stratton’s sudden disappearance from WWE TV following her lopsided defeat. At the time, she appeared to be limping before the match, sparking rumors about her condition heading into the high-stakes title bout.

SmackDown GM Nick Aldis even offered her the chance to withdraw from the match, but Stratton insisted on defending the gold (Could have been storyline). That decision proved costly, as Jade Cargill immediately targeted her leg and never let up. Stratton showed resilience, kicking out of multiple powerbombs, but eventually fell to The Jaded and lost her title.

Since that night, Stratton hasn’t wrestled or appeared on WWE programming—until now, there was no official reason for her absence. The Observer’s report confirms that her time off is injury-related, though it’s still unclear how severe the situation is or when she might return.

Ringside News will keep you updated as more information becomes available regarding Stratton’s status and potential comeback.
