Matt Hardy has heard all the complaints about WWE 2K26, and he thinks wrestling fans are missing the bigger picture.

Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Hardy addressed the online criticism surrounding The Hardy Boyz’ character models, particularly the backlash over Jeff Hardy’s appearance. After seeing fans pick apart everything from Jeff’s entrance to his dance, Hardy admitted he just doesn’t get it.

“Uh pretty exciting. I like my stuff. I saw a lot of people were bitching about Jeff’s. They just like, ‘Oh, the juke isn’t right or whatever.'”

To Hardy, the complaints completely ignored how impressive the game actually looks. He said he even showed the character models to his wife, who couldn’t believe how realistic they were.

“I showed it to my wife and I was just like, ‘What do you think of this?’ She said, ‘Oh my god.’ She said, ‘That’s incredible.’ She said, ‘It looks like a video.'”

Hardy was just as impressed with his own model. He praised WWE 2K for recreating his current entrance, right down to his signature taunts, and even noticed the developers based it on the entrance he and Jeff used during their NXT match against No Quarter Catch Crew.

He also laughed off complaints that details like the titantron weren’t completely accurate, saying the developers clearly focused on capturing the current version of The Hardy Boyz rather than obsessing over every tiny detail.

“Mine was… they did the whole thing point down up with the guns, uh, roll the V1, and then delete, delete, delete. It was really good. Some people were saying like, you know, has the wrong Tron or whatever, but they just did like current version and kind of what we’re doing. So, it was cool that it was like the current version of us, so to say. Even what we wore, they emulated our entrance that we did whenever we wrestled the No Quarter Catch Crew in Cincinnati at the NXT show.”

In the end, Hardy doesn’t think the criticism has much to do with the game itself. He believes some wrestling fans are simply impossible to satisfy.

“I liked it a lot, man. I thought it was really good. You know, these people online, they’re malcontents. You know, you can’t make them happy. You know, it is what it is.”

Whether fans agree with Hardy or not, he’s clearly not losing any sleep over the complaints. As far as he’s concerned, WWE 2K26 did a great job bringing The Hardy Boyz into the game, and no amount of nitpicking online is going to change his mind.
