Naomi (c) vs Natalya – Smackdown Live Women’s Championship
This is a match which does not have a huge amount of buzz. Natalya is a solid in ring performer and Naomi is definitely no slouch. At the same time however Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are not on the card. Charlotte understandably will be dealing with family issues and all my love and prayers go to the Fliehr family at this time hopefully the Nature Boy will be stylin’ and profilin’ in no time. Regardless though WWE had no plans for either woman who are both preferable options to the current competitors.
Naomi has been a lacklustre champion however giving the title to Natalya is the wrong person to give the title to. This match will likely exceed expectations. Both women are very talented workers and despite Natalya’s character flaws and poor mic work she is among WWE’s best in ring talent’s. This is a tough match to call and it can go either way however Ifeel like Naomi is the better option to win the match. I also have a feeling Carmella will tease a cash-in but will not pull the trigger and may wait until the next champion is crowned to cash-in.
