Tony Khan just got hit with a wild accusation from podcast host Duke LovesRasslin, who flat-out claimed the AEW president has used kratom before — and then warned him not to bring the substance anywhere near Massachusetts.
To be crystal clear, these are Duke’s accusations. D-Von Dudley did not accuse Khan of using kratom, and Duke did not produce any evidence during the podcast to prove what he was saying.
The whole thing started while Duke was talking about kratom and restrictions surrounding the substance in Massachusetts. D-Von actually sounded unfamiliar with it and stopped the conversation to ask exactly what Duke was talking about, D-Von asked, “What’s the name of the drug again?” Duke answered, “With a K. K R A T O M. Kratom.” D-Von then wanted to know what it does/. That’s when Duke’s comments took a sharp turn toward Khan. Duke directly addressed the AEW boss and warned him to keep kratom away from Massachusetts, making it clear he wasn’t joking around.
“But I’ll just say this, and I say this with all seriousness, Tony Khan, you and your buddies better keep that nasty kratom out of my Commonwealth because the long arm of the law will get you and you have my word on that.”
Duke wasn’t finished. He brought up Khan having an office in Boston and claimed he would personally make sure there were consequences if Khan brought kratom into the state.
“Tony, you have an office in Boston and I know that you like to come here and party from time to time. I’m just telling you, if you bring that nasty kratom into my Commonwealth, I will make sure of it, you will be brought to justice. How about that?”
Duke would then outright accuse Khan of having consumed kratom before and claimed evidence exists to back it up. Again, Duke did not present that alleged evidence during the episode, so this remains his accusation. Duke apparently knew exactly how explosive that sounded because he immediately separated D-Von from everything he had just said.
“I’ll tell all you humanoids out there, Tony Khan will never deny that he has consumed. Won’t deny that. You have my word. He won’t deny that because there is evidence of him consuming and he knows that he doesn’t want to play those types of games cuz he probably can’t even remember half the damn time when he’s consumed.”
“All I’m saying is don’t bring it to my state, Tony. Okay. I’m sorry. And that’s Duke talking, not Devon. I’m sorry. Didn’t mean to cut you off.”
That distinction matters. Duke is the one accusing Tony Khan of kratom use and claiming evidence exists. Duke certainly didn’t leave much room for interpretation here. He named Khan, accused him of using kratom, claimed there’s evidence somewhere to prove it and then warned the AEW boss to keep the substance out of Massachusetts. That’s a hell of a claim to throw out publicly — and now the big question is whether Duke ever produces anything to back it up.
