Piper Niven just gave fans a look at what her neck surgery recovery really looks like.

On June 25, 2026, Niven posted an X-ray image on Twitter showing her neck after surgery, and the message that came with it was a positive one. The WWE star revealed that she had her six-week post-surgery checkup, and things are moving in the right direction. She followed it up with the update fans wanted to hear.

“6 week post surgery check up today. Everything fusing nicely.”

That X-ray update matters, because Niven has been open about the fact that her road back is not going to be quick. Fans previously became worried after she addressed the possibility that she may not wrestle again, and one fan even thanked her for her career after watching her stream.

“After watching Piper’s stream yesterday and knowing she potentially can’t wrestle again, I just want to say thank you piper for being the amazing human being you are and the years of kindness you have shown! Slaygent &Doudrop will live on❤️ cheers to the memories @PiperNivenWWE”

Piper responded at the time and made it clear that nobody should write her off yet, even though she admitted this could be a long recovery.

“Don’t count me out just yet chick, just letting people know that it will be a long time and maybe possibly not at all so we don’t have to answer the same question 50 times a stream 😉 x”

Niven has been away from WWE television since August 2025, when she last wrestled Charlotte Flair on SmackDown in Dublin. She later revealed that she underwent neck surgery in California after dealing with months of pain and heartbreak. Now, with this X-ray update, fans at least have a better idea of where things stand.

Piper is not giving anyone a return date, and she is not acting like this is some easy comeback. Still, posting that everything is “fusing nicely” is a strong sign that her recovery is going the way doctors want it to go.

Do you want to see Piper Niven return to WWE when she is fully cleared, or should she take all the time she needs before even thinking about getting back in the ring? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know what you think.
