Paul Heyman didn’t just say Triple H is the right person to lead WWE’s content machine. He said Levesque has gotten even better at the job since Heyman publicly called himself a “Paul Levesque guy” during his Hall of Fame speech.

During the interview with Chris Van Vliet, Heyman talked about how WWE’s creative operation has changed under Triple H. He said the job is bigger than simple weekly booking and involves long-term planning, distribution, platforms, characters, business goals, and keeping WWE talent moving forward. Heyman said Triple H understands how to turn wrestlers from TV characters into actual attractions.

“He’s brilliant at taking a look at the landscape and understanding, does this make sense? Is it logical? Does the storyline work? Will it create box office and interest and intrigue? Does it work for the characters involved? Does it progress the characters involved and take them from being characters on a television show into becoming attractions?”

Heyman then pointed to recent WWE names as examples of performers who have grown under this system. He also named Sol Ruca as someone he sees becoming a major star.

“Look at the past 8 to 10 months in WWE. Oba Femi has become an attraction. Trick Williams has become an attraction. If Je’Von Evans is not labeled an attraction by the end of this summer, then someone’s either not looking at it in the right perspective or we messed up. And I don’t think we’re going to mess up with Je’Von Evans.”

“Sol Ruca is going to be a star, an absolute bona fide attraction. Look at these people emerging.”

Heyman then circled back to Triple H and said the collaborative process has improved. Heyman said the biggest difference is not just that Triple H guides WWE, but how he guides it.

“It’s a matter of serving all of these content needs on a creative basis. And he’s doing it better now than he did just a couple of years ago when I stood during my Hall of Fame speech and told everybody I’m a Paul Levesque guy.”

“Cuz it’s not just the way that it’s not just how he guides us. The manner in which he does so and the collaborative effort with him is even better now than it was then.”

Then Heyman put a massive stamp of approval on him.

“So you give me a few billion dollars and say start a wrestling company, I’m hiring him for the job.”

That is a huge statement coming from Heyman, especially given how long he has been around the business. He is not just praising Triple H’s ideas. He is praising the entire system Levesque has built around modern WWE.
