The concern surrounding Giulia after SmackDown now appears to have an answer, because WWE’s own post-show footage strongly suggests she was selling the match and continuing her feud with Blake Monroe.

Giulia was initially helped away from ringside after losing on the October 2, 2026 episode of WWE SmackDown, but what happened backstage changes the picture quite a bit.

WWE later posted footage showing trainers still helping Giulia through the docking and locker room area after the show went off the air. That is when Blake Monroe walked up and started mocking her.

“Oh no. Giulia, I was so excited for our match and you were just sleeping.”

Giulia had heard enough and immediately blasted Monroe with a headbutt, sending her crashing down. That moment makes the earlier injury concern look much more like part of the story. Ringside News had footage showing Giulia moving slowly and needing help leaving ringside, with WWE cameras right there recording everything.

The backstage footage now shows WWE kept the angle going after the show. Giulia was still being helped by trainers, Monroe came over to rub in the loss, and Giulia dropped her for it.

Monroe had beaten Giulia earlier in the night after catching her on the top rope, sending her face-first into the turnbuckle and covering her for the three-count. Giulia may have lost the match, but Monroe learned backstage that she was still very much capable of fighting back.
