Tatum Paxley may be back on WWE’s radar sooner than expected. After disappearing from NXT television more than a month ago, the former NXT Women’s Champion was spotted arriving at SmackDown in Philadelphia just hours before the show went on the air.
A fan outside the Xfinity Mobile Arena took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of Paxley arriving at the building, confirming that she is actually backstage for Friday night’s SmackDown.
Paxley hasn’t been seen on WWE television since the June 30 edition of NXT, where she lost to Kelani Jordan. Since then, WWE has kept her off programming, making this her first appearance around a WWE television event in weeks.
Exactly why Paxley is backstage isn’t really known either. She could be scheduled for a Main Event taping before SmackDown begins, WWE could be preparing her for an appearance during the live show, or she may simply be visiting while the company finalizes its next plans for her.
With Paxley now back around a WWE television taping after more than a month away, it won’t take long to find out whether Friday marks the beginning of her return or if it’s nothing but a one-night appearance..
