Nikki Bella might not be actively looking for love, but it sounds like there’s at least one guy who’s managed to catch her attention.
Speaking with Us Weekly, Nikki was asked whether anything would change if the right man came along after previously saying she was in her “single and celibate era.” While she made it clear she’s still not actively looking for a relationship, she admitted there are a few guys she’s been texting—and one of them has definitely caught her attention.
“I mean, yeah, things would change. I don’t know if—I at times feel like, not that I have that door closed, but I think it’s when you’re not looking. I’m like, I was at the Eagles game, and people are coming up to me and introducing me to people and FaceTiming with guys. I’m like, I’m not looking for a front line or a team to have.”
Nikki said she’s still not trying to build a dating “team,” but she isn’t completely closed off either. She admitted there are a few guys she’s been texting lately, and one of them has been doing a pretty good job of making her smile.
“I might text a few people. I have some guys in my text messages that make me smile. Actually, one, you know, he’s gained a lot of points making me smile.”
She also admitted she probably wasn’t using the word “celibate” correctly when she described her love life before. Even so, she laughed and said she’s still pretty close to that lifestyle.
“I realized I used the word ‘celibate’ wrong, but I’m pretty much there.”
It’s a pretty different update from what Nikki had been saying over the past few months. She previously joked that she was basically living like a nun, said she had no interest in dating, and even vented about friends constantly trying to introduce her to men through awkward FaceTime calls and surprise meetups.
Now, it sounds like things have changed—at least a little. Nikki still isn’t out looking for Mr. Right, but she also isn’t shutting the door completely. And if one guy keeps earning points, who knows where it could lead.
