Nikki Bella had a full idea ready for WWE Clash in Italy, but it never made it to air.

During the June 1 episode of SiriusXM’s The Nikki and Brie Show, Nikki Garcia revealed that she pitched WWE a segment idea called “Ciao Bella” for the company’s historic Premium Live Event in Italy. She wasn’t planning to wrestle, but she wanted to be part of the show in a fun way. Nikki explained that the idea played off the Bella name, her Italian heritage with Brie, and the fact that WWE was running its first-ever PLE in Italy.

“I at first thought I was going to be at Clash in Italy, not obviously performing but I pitched this incredible idea called Ciao Bella.”

The concept would have featured Nikki doing fun Italian-themed moments with WWE stars. She pitched scenes like riding an Italian scooter with Danhausen, drinking Aperol Spritz with Brie Bella, Paige, and the Women’s Tag Team Champions, and even taking a gondola ride with GUNTHER while he stayed completely serious.

“I had these different moments with WWE superstars. So like there would be a moment where I’m on like the Italian scooter with Danhausen and his scarf is like flying in my face.”

Nikki said the whole idea was inspired by an “Emily in Paris” style vibe, only with WWE talent in Italy. She even had a scene planned with Oba Femi where they would try to take a selfie while eating gelato before Judgment Day showed up and slapped the gelato out of their hands.

“This is what gave me the idea of like Emily in Rome, like me totally being like an Emily with WWE superstars.”

Brie pointed out how big Clash in Italy was for WWE, since it marked the company’s first PLE in the country. Nikki said WWE showed interest in the idea and that she was going back and forth with the team about it.

“They showed interest. Like I was going back with the team and they really liked the idea.”

Nikki also revealed her planned ending. She would walk down the street while people kept saying “ciao bella,” making her think they recognized her as Nikki Bella, even though they were just using the common Italian phrase.

“Then I’m walking down the street and they keep going ‘ciao bella, ciao bella’ because they do that in Italy, right? And then I take a pause and I go, ‘Oh my god, I’m like so famous here.’”

Unfortunately for Nikki, the idea never happened.

“It was cute and they all loved it but then fell through.”

Nikki Bella may not have appeared at Clash in Italy, but she clearly had a whole production planned if WWE had moved forward. Between Danhausen, GUNTHER, Oba Femi, Judgment Day, and the Bella Twins’ Italian roots, “Ciao Bella” could have been a fun way to use her without putting her back in the ring.
