WWE President Nick Khan isn’t worried about the noise surrounding WrestleMania 42 — and he believes both main events will deliver when it matters most.

With WrestleMania 42 set to feature Randy Orton challenging Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship on night one and CM Punk defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns on night two, fans have been vocal about everything from ticket prices to the buildup heading into the event.

Speaking with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Khan addressed those concerns directly and suggested fans should hold judgment until after the matches actually play out.

“Let’s see the reaction (when) the show is done. I think a lot of times with WWE storylines, they take a moment to develop. We have the good fortune when we’re on the inside of knowing where we’re going.”

Khan went on to explain that WWE believes both championship matches carry real tension and strong storytelling, especially when the lines between reality and scripted outcomes feel blurred.

“If you look at the two main events, there is real heat there and when the storylines are blurred between reality and pre-determined outcomes in WWE, we think that always delivers, and with the (Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes), especially with the addition of Pat McAfee, we think both will overdeliver. Let’s see.”

Night one of WrestleMania 42 will be headlined by Randy Orton challenging Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship on April 18. Night two will feature CM Punk defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns on April 19.

With fan expectations running high and criticism already circulating before the first bell rings, Khan’s message is simple — wait until the weekend is over before deciding whether WWE delivered or not.
