Nic Nemeth and Leon Slater just got hit with a massive warning before Bound For Glory — touch each other, and the whole thing blows up. During the TNA iMPACT episode of September 24, 2026, Santino Marella officially banned both men from laying a finger on each other before their TNA World Championship showdown.
Slater kicked things off by marching to the ring and calling Nemeth out after everything that went down between them. He brought up beating the hell out of Ryan Nemeth before Nic blindsided him with the TNA World Championship, then accused the champ of getting scared because Slater keeps getting bigger, faster and better every week.
Slater wasn’t interested in waiting for the pay-per-view either. He challenged Nemeth to come out right then and there, and Nemeth didn’t need much convincing. Nemeth came out swinging verbally, telling Slater there was a huge difference between being a world champion and being someone who doesn’t even know what it takes to make it. Then things got ugly when Nemeth took a personal shot at Slater’s father.
Meanwhile, Ryan Nemeth tried sneaking into the ring behind Slater. Slater wasn’t fooled for a second and turned around before Ryan could catch him off guard, setting off another fight as security and officials rushed in to break everything up.
That’s when Marella had enough. The TNA authority figure came onto the stage and dropped a stipulation that immediately raised the stakes. From now until Bound For Glory, Nemeth and Slater are forbidden from touching each other.
And the punishment is nasty. If Nemeth puts his hands on Slater, he will be stripped of the TNA World Championship. If Slater touches Nemeth, he loses his title shot completely. Marella also made it crystal clear there will be no warnings, no excuses and no second chances.
So now Nemeth and Slater have a bigger problem than simply beating each other at Bound For Glory. They have to survive the road there without snapping first, because one punch, shove or cheap shot could kill the entire title match before it ever happens.
