Nia Jax might have the family connection to The Bloodline, but WWE still hasn’t pulled the trigger on actually putting her with the group on television. As it turns out, Jax is perfectly fine with that and has a pretty simple reason why.

During her appearance on the Keep It Aloha podcast, Jax was asked by a fan why she hasn’t joined The Bloodline on WWE television despite being part of the legendary Samoan wrestling dynasty. Jax pointed out that, technically, she already considers herself part of The Bloodline because of her family connection, even if that hasn’t translated into an on-screen role.

She also brought up the family tree that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson previously shared. But instead of automatically being thrown into the group because of who she’s related to, Jax said she actually appreciates getting the chance to establish herself on her own.

“Well, technically, I am in The Bloodline. I don’t know if you saw the chart that Dwayne put up. I’m up there. But, you know, it all just depends on storyline for wrestling, right? Everybody wants, like, ‘Oh, why isn’t it just automatic being there?’ But I actually really appreciate the fact that I can carve out my own name by myself.”

That doesn’t mean Jax is completely against getting involved if WWE ever decides the story calls for it. She made it clear that if the guys ever need some backup, there are several women in the family who could get that call. Jax specifically mentioned herself, Naomi and Tamina as options if the situation ever comes up. For now, though, she’s happy being part of the family without needing The Bloodline association on television.

“But if the boys ever needed me, you know, they’ve got Naomi, they’ve got me, they’ve got Tamina. They can always call us whenever is needed. But technically, I am in The Bloodline, just not on TV.”

So Jax isn’t sitting around wondering why WWE hasn’t put her in The Bloodline. She likes having her own identity, and whether that family connection ever becomes part of her television character will ultimately come down to whether WWE finds the right storyline for it.
