AEW added another big match to Grand Slam France during the October 3, 2026 episode of AEW Collision, announcing that Samoa Joe will face Jungle Jack Perry in a Clockwork Carnage qualifying match.
The match will take place Tuesday night at AEW Grand Slam France from the Adidas Arena in Paris. The winner will earn a spot in the newly announced Clockwork Carnage match for the AEW World Championship at WrestleDream.
Joe and Perry already have unfinished business coming out of AEW All Out, making this qualifier a lot more personal than simply chasing a spot in the WrestleDream title match.
Grand Slam France will also feature AEW World Champion Will Ospreay defending against Kazuchika Okada, while Chris Jericho is set for another match against Nick Wayne after Wayne attacked him following their previous meeting. Ringside News previously covered the Jericho vs. Nick Wayne rematch being made official for Grand Slam France.
AEW Grand Slam France takes place Tuesday, October 6, marking the company’s first-ever live event in France. The show will originate from the Adidas Arena in Paris and will include Dynamite and Collision tapings.
Confirmed matches for AEW Grand Slam France so far:
- AEW World Championship: Will Ospreay (c) vs. Kazuchika Okada
- Clockwork Carnage Qualifying Match: Samoa Joe vs. Jungle Jack Perry
- Chris Jericho vs. Nick Wayne
With a WrestleDream World Title opportunity now hanging over Joe vs. Perry, AEW just gave their Paris showdown a much bigger prize.
