Chris Jericho thought he had settled things with Nick Wayne in the ring. During AEW Dynamite & Collision for September 23 2026, the two came face-to-face again—and left with another match on the calendar.
Jericho confronted Wayne over attacking him after their September 16 Dynamite match. Jericho had won that first meeting, but Wayne’s post-match attack made it clear he wasn’t ready to leave the loss behind.
Wayne proposed a rematch at AEW Grand Slam France, and Jericho accepted on the spot. They’ll meet on October 6 at Adidas Arena in Paris, where AEW is taping Dynamite and Collision for its first event in France.
Wayne now gets another shot at the man who beat him, while Jericho gets the chance to answer that attack in the ring. With their rematch set for Paris, this rivalry has a new stage and a result both men will want to change.
