Keanu Carver’s WWE departure may have happened earlier than fans realized. After reports surfaced that the former NXT talent had been removed from WWE’s internal roster, a new update has now revealed when his release allegedly took place.
According to a report by Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, it was revealed that he learned that Keanu Carver, whose real name is Kevin Robertson, was actually released by WWE the previous week.
“I am told Keanu Carver was actually released last week.”
This adds another piece to the timeline surrounding Robertson’s departure. Earlier in the day, PWInsider reported that he had been removed from WWE’s internal roster and was no longer with the company, although WWE has yet to publicly announce his release.
Robertson’s reported departure comes as he remains involved in an ongoing civil protection-order case involving fellow NXT talent Arianna Grace, whose real name is Bianca Carelli. Carelli alleged stalking and domestic violence in her filing, and a judge ruled in September that the temporary protection order would remain in effect pending another hearing later this month.
As Ringside News previously reported, court filings included text messages in which Carelli repeatedly told Robertson to stop contacting her, stay away from her home and respect her boundaries. Robertson has not been criminally charged, and another hearing in the civil case remains scheduled for October 20.
For days, the question wasn’t whether Robertson would remain with WWE—it was whether he’d already been released. If this report is correct, that decision was made behind the scenes last week, even if fans are only now learning about it. The legal case, meanwhile, is still ongoing and will continue later this month.
