WWE’s NXT brand has tried to step it up a notch since the main roster raided a majority of their top talent. Now, it is time to crown a Mr. NXT. The June 9 episode of the show was quite an interesting show.
Shiloh Hill has been a big-time babyface for NXT since his breakthrough success in LFG. The popular star, with or without teeth, has been able to get fans behind him. However, newcomer Tristan Angels has something to say about it.
Tristan Angels and Shiloh Hill soon started battling for the title of Mr. NXT. The two finally decided this debate this week on the show. Three judges were present for the competition. Comedian Matt Matthews, WWE Superstar Kit Wilson, and EVOLVE champion Aaron Rourke were there to share their opinions.
There were three categories: attire, talent, and public speaking. All three of those should be tough categories for the Superstars in the running.
Attire was first, as Tristan Angels and Shiloh Hill went through casual, formal, and swimsuit. They strutted their stuff on the runway, and this pretaped segment received a big pop from the in-house crowd.
Talent came down to Shiloh Hill doing a Rubik’s Cube in one minute, which he did. Then he had another talent, and he impressed everyone. Then Angels screwed up his part of the show in a big way.
The public speaking part of the competition. In the end, Shiloh Hill won, but then Tristan Angels jumped him like a pure sore loser.
