MJF and Alicia Atout just hit the one-year mark as husband and wife, and Atout made sure everybody knew the AEW power couple is still very much obsessed with each other.
On September 5, 2026, Atout took to Instagram to celebrate their first wedding anniversary, sharing a photo from their wedding day alongside a message for MJF that was equal parts sweet and playful. She called MJF both her favorite person and her “favorite problem,” while looking back at how far the two have come together.
“Happy anniversary to my favourite person and my favourite problem. Somehow we’re still laughing and still obsessed. ✨ Not bad for two kids who truly had no clue just how good this was going to get. 🤍🥂”
The date has plenty of meaning for the couple. MJF and Atout officially tied the knot on September 5, 2025, with Taz and HOOK among the AEW names who attended the wedding. MJF celebrated afterward by calling the occasion “the death of a bachelor” and saying it was a memory he would hold onto when he was old and gray.
Their story goes back much further than the wedding. Atout previously explained that she first met MJF when they were in their early 20s, years before anything romantic happened between them. The two spent years trading insults and having memorable interview moments before their relationship finally changed. Atout later explained how MJF’s persistence eventually won her over.
The two began dating in 2023 and confirmed their relationship publicly that November. Atout gave a simple “yes” when asked at the time whether she and MJF were actually together after fans spent weeks trying to figure out whether they were trolling everyone.
MJF has since filled in even more of the story. Earlier this year, he revealed that the timing never worked between them for years because one of them was always dating somebody else. Once they were finally single at the same time, MJF sent Atout a message asking her to let him know if she was ever in New York. She didn’t respond.
So MJF did exactly what everybody tells you not to do and double messaged her, this time making it clear that he actually wanted to take her on a date. That one worked, and the rest turned into a relationship, a wedding and now their first anniversary. MJF told the full story of how the relationship finally happened earlier this year. One year after saying “I do,” Atout’s anniversary message makes it pretty clear the honeymoon phase hasn’t worn off — even if MJF himself has joked plenty about what married life is really like.
Seven-plus years after they first crossed paths, MJF and Alicia Atout went from roasting each other in wrestling interviews to celebrating a year of marriage. Not exactly where either of them thought those early interviews were headed.
