MJF’s injury situation after AEW Dynamite is now getting a little more clarity.

The AEW World Champion was pulled from Beyond Wrestling’s June 5 event in Cranston, Rhode Island after suffering a knee injury during his match against RUSH on the June 3 episode of Dynamite. MJF was scheduled to face Bobby Orlando, but Beyond Wrestling announced that he hyperextended his knee and was not medically cleared to travel or compete.

Now there is an update on where things stand. Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com noted that MJF’s injury is legitimate, but the hope is that it is not serious.

That is at least some encouraging news for fans, especially after the brutal No Countout Match MJF had with RUSH on Dynamite. MJF retained the AEW World Championship after locking in a crossface and making RUSH pass out, but he took plenty of punishment along the way.

The injury has already cost MJF one indie booking, but it is still unclear whether it will affect his AEW schedule moving forward. AEW has not announced any change to his television status as of now.

MJF is still AEW World Champion, but his knee will be something to watch after such a physical title defense. For now, the key update is that the injury is real, but there is hope that it will not keep him out for long.

What do you think about MJF dealing with a knee injury after AEW Dynamite? Should AEW keep him off television for a bit, or keep the World Champion involved while he recovers? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comments section below.
