Mini Vikingo is going to need surgery, and his planned AAA World Cruiserweight Championship match against Rey Fenix is now on hold. During AAA Heroes Inmortales results for October 24, 2026, Vikingo revealed that doctors told him he would need an operation after suffering an injury on WWE NXT. The news came just days after he was pulled from NXT television.

Vikingo was originally scheduled to compete on the October 20 episode of WWE NXT, but it was announced that he wasn’t medically cleared. He was also supposed to challenge Rey Fenix for the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship during the two-week Heroes Inmortales special.

During the October 24 show, Vikingo was shown in the trainer’s room when Fenix came to see him. Vikingo explained that he still wanted his championship rematch, but doctors had informed him that his injury would require surgery.

There is currently no word on when Vikingo will undergo surgery or how long he will be out of action. His planned match against Fenix will have to wait while he recovers.

For now, Vikingo’s focus will be on getting healthy before he can return to the ring. It’s an unfortunate setback for the AAA star, especially with another championship opportunity waiting for him.
