Mick Foley may be heading to Montreal for AEW Redemption, and Tony Khan sounds like he fully expects the WWE Hall of Famer to be part of the July event.

Foley has already made his first appearance for AEW, but fans are now waiting to see where the company uses him next. According to Khan, there is a strong possibility that Mrs. Foley’s Baby Boy will be on hand when AEW heads to the Centre Bell in Montreal, Quebec, for Redemption.

Speaking to the Toronto Sun, Khan addressed Foley’s status for the event and made it clear that his Double or Nothing appearance was not planned as a one-time deal. Khan stopped short of locking Foley in for Redemption, but he made his expectations clear by suggesting Foley could be involved as a host for the show.

“There’s a good chance Mick could come. He’s doing a lot of the AEW events, and I’m sure he’s going to want to be there.”

“I can’t say 100% for certain, but I think there’s a very high likelihood that Mick will be attending and hosting the event in Montreal.”

Foley debuted for AEW as a co-host of the Double or Nothing Buy-In show on YouTube ahead of the May 24 pay-per-view at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York. His appearance did not stay behind the desk for long, as Foley became involved in MJF’s AEW World Championship vs. Hair Match storyline with Darby Allin.

While discussing the match, Foley predicted MJF would lose and told him that since he had wavy hair, he should prepare to “wave it goodbye.” MJF responded by kicking Foley below the belt before Darby came out to chase him off. The appearance immediately left fans wondering how often Foley would be seen in AEW moving forward. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson later stated that Foley is expected to be around regularly, although he will not be at this week’s Dynamite in Philadelphia due to a prior commitment.

“We are told he will be around regularly. I am told he won’t be in Philly this week as he has a pre-existing responsibility that was locked in before he signed but the impression I have been given is that he’ll be a regular part of AEW programming.”

Sean Ross Sapp also stated during a Fightful Select Q&A that Foley is officially signed with AEW and expected to appear on pay-per-views and select television shows moving forward.

“Yes, he is signed to the company officially. He is, he is on the roster. They expect him to work all the pay-per-view shows moving forward and some TV for the foreseeable future. So there is a working agreement between the two sides. John Alba did a great job reporting on this and AEW has held an interest for quite a while. So when he was able to sign, they made it happen.”

Khan did not hold back when discussing what it means to have Foley involved with the company, especially with Cactus Jack now connected to AEW programming on TBS.

“I’m a huge fan of Mick. I’ve grown up watching him. Cactus Jack was one of my favourite villains in my childhood, and I’m really excited to have Cactus Jack coming back to TBS now as part of AEW with Mick Foley joining the team.”

Foley’s AEW run is already looking like more than a nostalgia cameo. He got physical with MJF in his first appearance, is expected to remain involved with the company, and now Khan is openly talking about him potentially hosting a major event in Montreal. If Foley is at Redemption, the bigger question will be whether AEW keeps him in a hosting role or pulls him deeper into an on-screen rivalry.

What do you think AEW should do with Mick Foley moving forward, and would you like to see him get more involved in the MJF storyline? Let us know in the comments.
