Mercedes Moné has been ruled out of All Out because she is not medically cleared to compete. AEW confirmed the news during the September 16, 2026 episode of AEW Dynamite, taking Moné off the upcoming pay-per-view while also revealing the plan for her eventual return to the ring.
AEW didn’t give additional details about what is keeping Moné from getting cleared, but the company already has her next championship defense mapped out. Moné is now scheduled to defend her title at WrestleDream on October 17, provided she is cleared in time for the show. Her opponent will come down to Thekla or Willow Nightingale. AEW announced that Thekla and Willow will face each other, with the winner earning the championship match against Moné at WrestleDream.
That immediately puts a much bigger spotlight on Thekla vs. Willow. Instead of simply fighting for another win, they now know that beating the other puts them directly across the ring from Mercedes with championship gold at stake.
The biggest development, however, is Moné’s status. AEW taking her off All Out because she has not been cleared means fans will have to wait a little longer before seeing her back in action, while WrestleDream is now positioned as the target for her return.
