Bayley’s WWE future is still up in the air, but Mercedes Moné just gave fans another reason to start connecting the dots.

On June 29, Moné took to her Instagram Stories and shared a graphic that instantly got people talking. The image featured herself standing opposite Bayley with an AEW WrestleDream 2026 backdrop behind them. Very interesting.

AEW hasn’t even officially announced the date or location for WrestleDream 2026, yet Moné is already teasing a dream match with her longtime friend.

The timing couldn’t be better for speculation either. Bayley is entering the final stretch of her current WWE contract, which is set to expire later this year. While WWE and TKO are believed to want to keep her around because she’s viewed as one of the company’s locker room leaders, there’s still no public word that a new deal has been signed.

Bayley herself hinted more than a year ago that her future wasn’t set in stone. During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, she admitted she has interests outside wrestling and wasn’t sure what the next chapter of her career would look like once her current contract runs out.

Now comes Moné’s tease. Could it simply be two close friends having fun online? Absolutely. Bayley and Mercedes have one of wrestling’s closest real-life friendships, so nobody should treat this as confirmation of anything.

At the same time, it’s hard to ignore the optics. A contract-year Bayley being featured in WrestleDream artwork by one of AEW’s biggest stars is going to get fans talking, especially with no extension announced and free agency creeping closer. For now, it’s nothing more than a social media tease. But with Bayley’s contract winding down, don’t expect the speculation to slow anytime soon.

Do you think Mercedes Moné was just having fun, or could this be the first hint at Bayley eventually joining AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
