Mercedes Moné isn’t waiting until All In to get her hands on Willow Nightingale. Hours before AEW Dynamite, the CEO revealed she had already attacked the Women’s Champion—and proudly showed off the damage.
Moné uploaded a video to Twitter teasing a “surprise” for everyone watching Dynamite tonight. She then walked into a building and revealed Nightingale already laid out and being helped by several people.
“I have a little surprise for everybody tonight that is tuning into AEW Dynamite. I am the CEO for a reason, and I just wanna show you guys a little something that I did.”
Mercedes wasn’t exactly showing any remorse. She laughed at Willow and told fans to tune into Dynamite to see what else she has planned.
“Hi, Willow. How are you feeling, you dumb b****? Make sure you tune into Dynamite tonight and see me take away that ugly-ass bitch smile. She deserves that! Hahaha! You deserve it, Willow! She earned it, and that’s why I’m the greatest of all time. I’m about to head to the arena right now.”
Mercedes then left the scene and headed toward the Dynamite arena. Before leaving, she even told the people around Willow not to bother checking on her.
“Don’t look at me like that. Don’t even check on Willow either. She deserved all of that.”
And this isn’t just about tonight. Mercedes made it clear that she’s been waiting years for what she plans to do to Willow at Wembley Stadium.
“She wants to embarrass me? She wants to smile? I am so sick of that smile. In two weeks at All In, I’m going to take away that damn smile once and for all. Three years I have been waiting for this moment, and nobody’s gonna take it away from me. Nobody. I’m the CEO for a reason. Love it and get used to it. I’ll see you guys tonight.”
That three-year line carries some history. Willow defeated Mercedes in the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship tournament final in 2023, a match where Moné suffered the ankle injury that kept her out of action for months. Willow and Mercedes have also fought over the TBS Title for a long time now.
Now they’re headed for another championship match, this time with Willow’s AEW Women’s Title on the line at All In at Wembley Stadium on August 30. Mercedes apparently couldn’t wait another two weeks to start settling the score. Willow has already been left laid out, Mercedes is headed to Dynamite, and the CEO is promising there’s more coming tonight.
