Maxxine Dupri’s kiss with Austin Theory got WWE fans talking—and now she’s finally breaking down what was going through her mind when it happened.
Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show, Dupri was asked about the now-viral moment that capped off her shocking heel turn on Monday Night Raw, where she helped Theory and Bron Breakker capture the WWE World Tag Team Championships before celebrating by kissing Theory in the middle of the ring. Brie Bella was the first to bring it up, admitting the moment immediately caught her attention.
“Well, let’s talk about that kiss. That was a really spicy kiss.”
Dupri couldn’t help but laugh: “I know.” Brie admitted she was all in on the new pairing: “It was, it was. I was like, ‘All right, I’m into this. I’m liking this.'”
Then Nikki Bella asked the question plenty of fans were probably wondering: “Is Austin a good kisser?” Dupri laughed before giving the answer everyone in the studio was hoping for.
“I mean, the best. You’re making me blush. I know. It was just like in the moment, you know? Like you couldn’t have dreamt that up to be better.”
She then explained that the kiss wasn’t something random—it was the payoff to her decision to align herself with Theory after helping him win the WWE World Tag Team Championships.
“I showed up for him. I applied the pressure, and as Dawkins fell over, he got the pin because he’s brilliant, obviously. And afterwards, it was just like, I think it’s time that we fill everyone in on what’s going on.”
The Bella Twins admitted they’d been waiting for WWE to reveal the relationship on television, especially the kiss and the Vision’s reaction to it..
Nikki Bella: “We’ve been waiting for it.”
Brie Bella: “We have been waiting for it, and my favorite was watching Bron and Logan Paul’s facials because… yeah, it was really good.”
Brie joked that the new on-screen couple needed to top their Raw moment during WWE’s upcoming trip to New York.
“I better see… a good Empire State Building kiss with you and Austin.”
Maxxine Dupri quickly embraced the idea—and jokingly sent a message to the rest of the WWE locker room while she was at it.
“I need to make sure that the whole locker room knows that he’s mine. Don’t get any ideas… everyone should know Austin is with me and chose me.”
The kiss instantly became one of the biggest talking points coming out of Raw, officially confirming Dupri’s alliance with Theory and The Vision. Judging by her latest comments, she had just as much fun filming the moment as fans had watching it—and it doesn’t sound like she’s planning to keep the romance quiet anytime soon.
