Max Caster’s first match in TNA ended with a loss, but he made Moose work a whole lot harder for it than most people expected. The former AEW star made his TNA debut at TNA Bound For Glory on October 11, 2026, and while he got in plenty of offense, Moose eventually shut the door with a Spear and the three-count.
Moose offered Caster a handshake at the opening bell, but Caster slapped it away and immediately made it clear he wasn’t there to play nice. He later went for the ten punches in the corner before stopping to hit crotch chops, which led Tom Hannifan to reference Caster’s past connection with Kip James.
Caster then started proving this wasn’t going to be some quick debut squash. He sent Moose shoulder-first into the steel steps on the outside and followed it up by using a chair as a launch point for a dropkick. Moose later came charging around ringside, but Caster caught him and sent him crashing onto the steps with a backdrop.
Caster could have taken the easy route when Moose was in danger of getting counted out, but he stopped the referee’s count and brought the fight back into the ring. That decision gave Moose the opening he needed to start turning things around.
Moose connected with a superplex before Caster later went for the Mic Drop. Moose got his knees up, completely killing Caster’s momentum and setting up the finish. A few moments later, Moose blasted Caster with the Spear and got the three-count, officially handing Max Caster a loss in his TNA debut.
After the bell, Moose raised Caster’s hand in a show of respect, giving him some credit after a match where Caster clearly showed he belonged in there with one of TNA’s biggest names.
Caster didn’t get the storybook debut win, but he also didn’t get embarrassed. He pushed Moose, got real offense in and left with the former TNA World Champion showing him respect after the match. Now the real question is whether this was a one-night appearance or the start of something bigger.
