Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy and Michael Hayes turned back the clock at The Gathering VII. The three reunited on July 25, 2026, in Charlotte, North Carolina, and recreated an iconic photo from the early days of The Hardy Boyz.

The original picture showed Matt and Jeff standing beside Hayes during his run as their manager. The new version featured the same trio posing together again decades later, with Matt and Jeff holding championship belts. Before the photo was taken, Matt promoted the reunion and made it clear how rare the moment was.

“This photo op is happening for the first time in 25 years at The Gathering in Charlotte at 10:30 a.m.!”

Matt later posted the finished shot and celebrated the reunion with Hayes.

“27 years later… reunited with our ‘Rasslin’ Daddy!’”

Hayes played a major role in the early WWE rise of The Hardy Boyz and helped guide Matt and Jeff before they became one of the biggest tag teams of their generation. The recreated photo gave longtime fans a direct look at how much time has passed while still showing the bond between all three men.

The Gathering VII ran from July 22 through July 26 at the Hilton University Place in Charlotte and featured wrestling legends, autograph sessions, panels, photo opportunities and live matches.
