Lucha Underground might not be done after all.

For the first time since 2019, the official Lucha Underground social media account suddenly came back to life with a short teaser that has fans wondering what could be next. The post featured a brief video displaying the single word “Mas?” along with a caption that simply read:

“Soon.”

That short message was enough to get attention fast, especially considering how long the brand has been silent. The sudden activity marks the first public signal from the promotion in years, sparking speculation about whether something new could be in the works.

Lucha Underground originally launched in 2014 and quickly built a reputation for doing things differently than traditional wrestling promotions. The series was filmed in Boyle Heights and Downtown Los Angeles, California, and was developed by Mark Burnett and Robert Rodriguez. It was produced through United Artists, MGM Television, and One Three Media.

Unlike most wrestling shows, Lucha Underground was taped in advance and edited into episodic television, blending wrestling with dramatic storytelling. That format helped the series stand out, earning strong reactions from fans who followed its unique presentation.

Several well-known names passed through the promotion during its run, including Rey Mysterio, Penta, Rey Fenix, Ricochet, and Chelsea Green. Many of those performers went on to find success in major promotions after their time in Lucha Underground.

The series eventually wrapped up after four seasons, with its final episode airing in November 2018. Since then, there had been little movement tied to the brand — until now.

At this point, no official announcement has been made about what the teaser means. Still, the timing of the post — combined with the simple “Soon” message — has naturally led to questions about whether the brand could be preparing for a comeback in some form.
