Logan Paul was apparently willing to let the internet decide the fate of his hair—at least for a little while. After getting mocked over his hairline, the WWE star promised to shave his head if fans hit one massive target, only to delete the challenge afterwards.
On August 13, Paul responded to a side-by-side image mocking his thinning hairline. One of the images had been edited to show what Paul would look like completely bald. Instead of getting angry about the joke, Logan initially decided to play along.
“100k likes and I’ll do it.”
There was just one problem for anyone hoping to actually hold him to it: Paul eventually deleted the tweet. He didn’t explain why he removed the post or whether he would still honor the 100,000-like challenge if screenshots of it continued circulating. For now, the public offer to shave his head is no longer sitting on his Twitter account.
The whole thing is particularly funny considering Paul’s hair has actually been a subject of discussion inside WWE. Back in March, Paul revealed that Triple H had suggested he grow his hair out. It wasn’t some major creative directive, but Paul admitted he took the suggestion considerably more seriously than Triple H probably intended.
“He asked me to grow my hair out. I’m sure Triple H asked you (Maxxine Dupri) to grow your hair out as well.”
When Maxxine Dupri asked him about it, Paul explained that Triple H believed longer hair could add movement to his performances in the ring.
“Yeah, well. I mean, it was like a very light suggestion that I took way too seriously. ‘Cause he’s like ‘Logan, would you ever consider growing your hair out? It creates movement.’ And I was like ‘Yeah, actually I totally understand that.’”
Five months later, Paul briefly seemed prepared to throw Triple H’s suggestion out the window and shave everything off because of an internet challenge.
Then the tweet disappeared. Whether Logan got cold feet, changed his mind or simply decided he didn’t want 100,000 likes determining his next haircut isn’t clear. But anyone hoping to see bald Logan Paul may have just lost their best chance—the challenge has officially been deleted.
