WWE NXT Results (8/11/26): Live Match Updates and Highlights
The show opens up with Vic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T welcoming us as we see a video package recapping last week’s Lola Vice vs. Kendal Grey NXT Underground Match for the WWE NXT Women’s Championship. We also take a look at the WWE NXT Tag Team Title Match.
We then see Mason Rook confronting Grayson Waller last week. We then take look at Cruz Montana and Grayson Waller wanting the WWE NXT Championship #1 Contender’s Match.
Lizzy Rain then cuts a promo and says she wants to know where Shawn Spears is and Niko Vance and Izzi Dame show up and Niko tells Lizzy you can’t truth Spears. Lizzy then says she will do it alone.
The Culling then make their way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Lizzy Rain follows, but Shawn Spears is nowhere to be found.
Mixed Tag Team Match: EK Prosper and Lizzy Rain vs. The Culling (Niko Vance and Izzi Dame)
The match starts off with Lizzy Rain bringing the fight to Izzi Dame. Dame then puts Rain down with an elbow. Rain then goes for a vertical suplex, Dame hits her with a big boot. Dame then drives her shoulder into the midsection of Rain. Both women then trade strikes in the middle of the ring. Rain then hits a springboard back elbow and Niko Vance is the legal man. EK Prosper then make his way out to replace Shawn Spears. Prosper then hits a moonsault, taking out Vance. Back in the ring, Prosper hits a series of rights to Vance. Prosper then hits a dropkick for a near fall.
Prosper then hits a big boot. Vance then hits a headbutt. Prosper then hits Vance with a standing dropkick. Rain then hits a kick to Dame. Prosper and Rain then hit Vance and Dame with a series of chops. They then hit the Culling with a DDT. Prosper then hits a suicide dive to Vance. Dame then drops Rain on the apron and sends her head into the steel steps. Back in the ring, Dame drives her shoulder into the midsection of Rain. Rain then hits Dame with an enziguiri. Prosper then comes in and he hits a series of clotheslines to Vance and follows it up with another springboard moonsault for a near fall.
Dame then causes a distraction, allowing Vance to hit Prosper with a DDT. He then follows it up with an Irish whip. Rain is now the legal woman and she hits a kick. Rain then runs into a knee. Both women are now battling it out on the top rope. Rain then hits a big hurricanrana off the top rope. Vance and Rain then come face-to-face. Prosper then hits Vance with a step-up enziguiri. Dame then hits Rain with a clothesline. Vance then hits a flying headbutt to Prosper for a near fall. Prosper then hits Vance with a Stunner. He then follows it up with a Swanton Bomb. Rain then joins the fray, but Dame hits her with a Powerbomb for a near fall.
Rain then hits Dame in her midsection. She then hits a Cutter. Prosper then superkicks Vance. Rain then hits Vance with a Thunder Struck. Prosper then follows it up with a Shining Wizard and a moonsault for the win.

We then get some video footage of Myles Borne and Tavion Heights celebrating backstage after their WWE NXT Tag Team Championship win last week. Tavion says they are going to be fighting champions. He then says they are not turning any challenge down. Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno then congratulate them.
We then see Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair in the backstage area. The NXT Women’s Champion is getting her ear checked. The doctor then says she should give it another week. We will hear from Kendal Grey next.
We then see Emily Agard and she is with EK Prosper and Lizzy Rain. EK Prosper talks about stepping up for Lizzy Rain. Kali Armstrong then cuts them off and walks out to the ring.
Armstrong says she has something to say before Kendal Grey comes out. Armstrong then says she wants her title shot now that Lola Vice is gone. Kelani Jordan then comes out and says it’s not happening. Jordan then says she pinned Armstrong. Jordan then says she doesn’t have to get back in line, but she is going to get behind her. Jordan then says she is next in line for the WWE NXT Women’s Championship. Kendal Grey then makes her way out and she is accompanied by Wren Sinclair.
Grey says Jordan has been saying the same thing for months now. Grey then says she’s getting tired of Jordan. Grey then says Jordan got her a** knocked out against Lola Vice. Grey then gloats about beating Lola Vice in NXT Underground. Grey then hands over a contract to Jordan. She then asks Jordan to pick a time and a place. Sinclair then tells Grey that she’s not 100%. Armstrong then says she wants her title shot. Grey then says she can be next in line after Jordan. Jordan then says they can have the match next week, but she doesn’t want to waste her first-ever NXT Women’s Title Match here in front of these ungrateful fans in Orlando, Florida.
Jordan then says she wants to cash in her title shot at NXT Heatwave. Grey then says Jordan will find out that she cannot beat her. Armstrong then says she wants her title match and she hits Grey. Sinclair then punches Armstrong, but Armstrong takes care of Sinclair. Officials then rush to the ring to separate Armstrong and Jordan.
We then see Robert Stone in the backstage area and he is talking to Cruz Montana. Montana tells the NXT General Manager that he is going to make Grayson Waller eat his words. Keanu Carver then walks up to Robert Stone and is unhappy about the two new guys getting the #1 Contender’s Match. He then wishes Cruz Montana good luck and walks off. Robert Stone then stops Keanu Carver and asks him, “Why the hell have you been acting like this?” Keanu Carver says he’s figuring things out. He then asks the NXT General Manager if he liked his match against EK Prosper last week. He then says he’s got way more coming and Robert Stone hasn’t seen anything yet.
DarkState then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Saquon Shugars follows.
Singles Match: Saquon Shugars vs. DarkState’s Dion Lennox
The match starts off with Dion Lennox running into a step-up enziguiri. Saquon Shugars then pounds away at Lennox. Lennox then runs into a big boot. Shugars then hits a series of chops. Shugars then tries to use the ropes to his advantage, but the referee catches him red-handed. Lennox then rolls to the outside. Shugars then hits a big boot through the ropes. Back in the ring, Lennox hits Shugars with an elbow. DarkState then grab Shugars’ foot, allowing Lennox to hit a big clothesline on the back of his head. Lennox then hits an uppercut to Shugars. He then hits an Irish whip and drives his shoulder into the midsection of Shugars.
Lennox then hits Shugars with a Northern Lights Suplex for a near fall. He then applies a Sleeper Hold in the middle of the ring. Lennox then sends himself into the post. Shugars is starting to rally and he hits Lennox with an elbow to the back of his neck. The fight then spills to the outside. Lennox then almost hits the official with a baseball bat. The distraction then allows DarkState to send Shugars over the announcer desk. Back in the ring, Lennox hits his finisher for the win.

After the match, Cutler, Osiris and Dion attack Saquon.
We then see Robert Stone on the phone with Rey Mysterio and he says he wanted to talk about the NXT/AAA relationship. Stone then likes the idea of Rey defending his title. Rey then says EK Prosper should be in the match. Rey then suggests La Parka. Rey then says he has faith in Stone to choose the other two in the match.
We then see Grayson Waller walking up to Saquon Shugars. Waller tells Shugars to do something about DarkState instead of feeling sorry for himself.
ZARIA then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Wren Sinclair follows.
WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship Match: ZARIA (c) vs. WrenQCC’s WWE Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair
The match starts off with ZARIA hitting a headbutt and she sends Wren Sinclair into the corner. ZARIA then sends Sinclair shoulder-first into the turnbuckle. ZARIA then hits a big boot. ZARIA then continues to work on Sinclair’s injured shoulder. Sinclair then hits a shoulder tackle. Sinclair then runs into a Pump kick. ZARIA then hits a big boot. ZARIA then sends Sinclair into the turnbuckle and tries to choke her out. Sinclair then fights out of it. Sinclair and ZARIA are now going back and forth. ZARIA then drives her knee into Sinclair’s shoulder and she follows it up with an elbow drop.
ZARIA then continues the beatdown on Sinclair. Sinclair then tries to fight back, but ZARIA puts her down again. Sinclair then tries to turn things around, but gets overpowered by ZARIA. ZARIA then slams Sinclair onto the canvas. Sinclair is then pounding away at ZARIA. Sinclair then hits ZARIA with a series of chops. ZARIA then runs into a big boot. Sinclair then heads to the second rope and hits a high crossbody. Sinclair then hits a series of clotheslines. ZARIA then hits a headbutt to Sinclair. ZARIA then hits Sinclair with a German Suplex.
ZARIA then hits a discus Lariat. ZARIA then goes for an F5, but Sinclair counters. ZARA then hits Sinclair with a Spear. We then see Saquon Shugars and Dion Lennox battling it out. The fight then spills into the ring and Sinclair takes out Cutler James. The distraction then allows ZARIA to hit Sinclair with an F5 for the win.

Shiloh Hill then cuts a promo and says he has been recovering faster than anyone expected. Hill then says he did wrestle some of the house shows, but he doesn’t know when he will be cleared to wrestle on TV.
Kami Hendrix then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Mason Rook follows.
Singles Match: Mason Rook vs. Kam Hendrix
The match starts off with Mason Rook knocking Kam Hendrix out. Rook then drops Hendrix again. Rook then slams Hendrix down and follows it up with a back body drop. Hendrix then rolls out of the ring. Back in the ring, Rook hits another back body drop. Hendrix then sends Rook into the turnbuckle and pounds away at him. Hendrix then hits a big boot. Hendrix then hits a clothesline and he follows it up with an elbow drop. Rook then tries to fight back with a series of chops, but Hendrix hits him with a Spinebuster for a near fall.
Hendrix then hits a forearm on Rook, blasting his ear. Rook then hits a step-up enziguiri and he follows it up with a high crossbody. Rook then hits a splash on Hendrix in the corner and slams him down for a Senton. Rook then hits a German Suplex. Rook then hits a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Hendrix then sends Rook into the exposed turnbuckle. Hendrix then seizes the opportunity and hits a Showtime Kick for the win.

We then see Robert Stone in the backstage area. The Vanity Project is complaining about Tavion Heights and Myles Borne. They say they don’t think they are the real tag team. Jackson Drake then says it’s about time the NXT General Manager acknowledges that they are the best thing going in NXT. He then says he thinks the men’s division has gone soft. He then says there’s not a single soul in the locker room who can touch him on his worst day. Myles Borne and Tavion Heights then walk up to them. Robert Stone then books Jackson Drake in a one-on-one match next week, and if he wins, he will get a North American Title opportunity against Myles Borne and The Vanity Project will get a rematch for the NXT Tag Team Titles. But if he loses, the Vanity Project will lose everything. Jackson Drake then promises to get the job done at NXT Heatwave. Robert Stone then says the dates aren’t confirmed yet. Myles Borne then says he will pull a double duty at NXT Heatwave if Jackson Drake wins against Shiloh Hill next week.
BirthRight then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Lucien Price follows.
Non-Title Match: OTM’s Lucien Price vs. BirthRight’s WWE Speed Champion Lexis King
The match starts off with Lexis King hitting a series of chops to Lucien Price. Price then hits a thunderous chop to King. Price then follows it up with a headbutt. King then hits a knee and he follows it up with a stomp on Price’s head. Price then tosses King around. King then superkicks Price and hits a high crossbody. Price is then muscling King up. Price then hits King with a backbreaker. Price then runs into a big boot. Price then knocks Stacks out, sending him to the floor. Price then hits King with a Powerbomb for the win.

We then see Robert Stone. Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey then walk into his office. Wren Sinclair then says she wants another crack at ZARIA’s Women’s North American Championship. She then says she wants a title unification match at NXT Heatwave. Robert Stone then makes it official. The NXT General Manager then books Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair vs. Kali Armstrong and Kelani Jordan in a tag team match next week. Kendal Grey then says she will be cleared to return to in-ring competition next week. She then promises to leave NXT Heatwave with all the gold.
We then see Thea Hail and Jaida Parker in the backstage area. They talk about their win over Nattie and her teammates last week. Jaida Parker then tells Thea Hail that Nattie is not as easy as she looks. She then says she can handle Nattie on her own. Thea Hail then says she wants to help Parker. She then says she hasn’t had a friend in a while. Jaida Parker then wishes her good luck. Thea Hail then asks Jaida Parker if she will be in her corner next week. Jaida Parker then says she will be there for her.
We then see Romeo Moreno and he says he was put into the Fatal 4-Way Match to face Rey Fenix. Romeo then says they are a team and they are trying to figure things out. He then says he doesn’t want to abandon Noam Dar. Noam then tells Romeo to get it done. Tristan Angels then says he is the final entrant in the match. He then says he will extinguish Rey Fenix’ flame and expose everyone.
It is then announced that next week LA Parka, Romeo Moreno, Tristan Angels and EK Prosper will battle one another to see who faces Rey Fenix at Heatwave, Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair face Kelani Jordan and Kali Armstrong, Jackson Drake faces Shiloh Hill and Lucien Price challenges Lexis King for the Speed Title.
WWE NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo then makes his way out and he joins the announce desk for the main event of the night.
Cruz Montana then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the night through the NXT Universe and Grayson Waller follows.

The match starts off with both men trading strikes in the middle of the ring. Grayson Waller then sends Cruz Montana into the corner and hits him with body shots. Montana then puts Waller down with a clothesline. Montana then sends Waller into the corner and hits a vertical suplex. Waller then hits a right hand. Waller then drives his elbow against the face of Montana. Waller then hits a dropkick to the back of Montana. Waller then hits a snap suplex. Montana then runs into a big boot. Both men are now trading slaps. Waller then hits another standing dropkick. Montana then hits a series of chops. Montana then sends Waller into the turnbuckle and he hits a senton.
The fight then spills to the outside. Montana then hits a suicide dive, sending Waller over the announce desk. Montana then hits a thunderous chop before sending Waller back into the ring. Waller then hits a clothesline. Waller then hits a chop to Montana and sends him into the other side of the corner with authority. Montana then tries to fight back, but Waller hits a stomp on the back of Montana. Montana and Waller are now going back and forth. Montana then hits a superplex. Both men then exchange strikes in the middle of the ring. Montana then hits a kick. Waller then hits a high knee. Montana then runs into an elbow strike.
Waller is then hit with a Cutter for a near fall. Montana then goes for a suicide dive, but Waller hits him with a knee. Waller then hits Montana with a Flatliner for a near fall. Montana then hits an elbow. Montana then runs into a big boot and both men are up on the top rope. Both men then slip off the top rope. Waller then runs into a clothesline. Zilla Fatu then enters the ring and hits Montana with a Samoan Drop and the referee calls for the bell.
The WWE NXT Championship #1 Contender’s Match ends in a No Contest!
After the match, Zilla Fatu turns his attention to Waller. Zilla Fatu then hits Waller with a Superman Punch. Zilla Fatu then heads to the top rope and hits a Frog Splash on Montana. He then heads to the top rope again and hits an Uso Splash on Waller. Zilla Fatu then stares daggers at Tony D’Angelo and stakes his claim on the NXT Championship as the show comes to a close.
