After getting engaged back in November 2025, WWE announcer Lilian Garcia has now officially married her fiancé, Patrick Ellrich, in an intimate ceremony over the weekend.

The longtime WWE announcer confirmed during an April 14, 2026 interview with The Takedown that the couple tied the knot on April 12, just days before WrestleMania 42 week. As Garcia and Ellrich discussed the timing, it was clear the WrestleMania connection wasn’t lost on them.

“It does make too much sense… Yeah, it's like, boom, we get married, and then we're off to Vegas for a WrestleMania honeymoon.”

Garcia then explained how what was originally planned as a larger wedding quickly became overwhelming, even with several wrestling names ready to attend. She revealed that the turning point came when she decided to simplify everything and refocus on what truly mattered.

“Yeah, we were gonna do a bigger wedding with more friends… Trish Stratus was ready to fly in. Candice Michelle, like yeah, there were some people that were ready to fly in. But as we were preparing, it started getting very overwhelming. So, the joy started depleting and the stress of it started piling on. I went into my prayer closet… and I'm just literally, like, ‘God, I know this is supposed to be about the unity of us… Why is this becoming so overwhelming and so stressful?’ And all I kept hearing was, make it simple. Make it simple.”

That message led to a complete shift in plans, with the couple choosing a smaller, more personal ceremony that reflected what they truly wanted. Garcia described how everything came together naturally, creating a moment that felt exactly right.

“We could not have orchestrated this any better… During the ceremony, we were overlooking a bridge and you could hear the water flowing and the birds chirping. It was so peaceful. The whole vibe was peaceful.”

The wedding took place on Sunday, April 12, with the location carrying personal meaning tied directly to how their relationship began. Originally planning to elope on a bridge connected to their story, the couple instead embraced an intimate gathering organized by close friends.

Garcia explained how the final setting still honored that original vision, bringing everything full circle. She added that the location ended up being even more meaningful than expected, with the original bridge still visible during the ceremony.

“We were just going to elope on a bridge… but they were like, ‘we really want to throw you this barbecue.’ … It overlooks the hike that I went on that led me into Proper Tap House, which led me into meeting Patrick. So, it's pretty cool that (we were) able to have this ceremony there… You could actually see the bridge that we were going to get married at… So it's like, this is absolutely perfect.”

What started as a big, star-studded wedding turned into something stripped down, personal, and exactly what Garcia wanted—and now, she’s heading into WrestleMania week not just as a WWE staple, but as a newly married woman with a honeymoon lined up right in the middle of the chaos.
