Lex Luger has some encouraging news about his health after dealing with another difficult setback earlier this year. The WWE Hall of Famer says things are moving in the right direction, and he’s continuing to put in work with Diamond Dallas Page.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Luger was asked how he’s doing amid his ongoing health struggles. His answer was about as positive as it gets, with Luger saying he currently feels great “in every way imaginable” and revealing that his weekly workouts with DDP are continuing.

“I’m feeling great. Thank you for asking me. In every way imaginable. I got Tuesday’s workout on the calendar from Dallas.”

Luger also addressed whether he has considered stem cell treatments or peptides as another potential part of his health journey. He hasn’t tried either one yet, but he’s certainly not ruling them out.

“I’ve looked into those. I have not done any stem cell treatments. I know that peptide stuff is big. I’m always open. I haven’t done any of that yet, but I’m not against it. I know there’s a lot of great progress that has been made, so I’m always open to it for sure.”

That’s an encouraging update considering what Luger was dealing with earlier this year. DDP revealed in February that Luger had been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, commonly known as A-Fib. The condition causes an irregular heartbeat and resulted in Luger being placed on blood thinners, which forced Page to be particularly careful about how hard they trained.

“It’s so funny because me and Lex both got A-Fib like three months apart. And A-Fib is when your heart starts to have an irregular beat. And if that’s going to happen, you must be on blood thinners because you don’t want to form any clots, because clots lead to a stroke and can kill you.”

Luger also suffered another setback around the time of his WWE Hall of Fame induction after falling while getting into a chair. DDP previously explained that the accident aggravated Luger’s physical issues and contributed to him being unable to walk across the stage.

“The reason why he didn’t walk across the stage with me was because he was getting into his chair. The driver came around but he didn’t hold it and it came out from under him and he hit the concrete.”

His A-Fib treatment made the situation even trickier. With Luger taking blood thinners, DDP didn’t want him doing anything that could result in a serious cut or tear, so their normal training had to be put on hold.

“When you’re on blood thinners, the last thing you want to do is tear or cut, because you could bleed out. And then you’re dead. So you’ve got to be really careful.”

Considering everything Luger has battled physically over the years, simply hearing him say he feels great “in every way imaginable” is a pretty big deal. Now he and DDP are back to doing what they’ve done for years: seeing just how much further Luger can go.

How encouraging is it to hear Lex Luger feeling this good and working out regularly with DDP again? Let us know in the comments.
