“Because first and foremost, he was checking on us because that’s what kind of man he is. That’s what kind of family the business of professional wrestling is, is when something like this happens, like a tragedy happens, we check on each other and he checked on us.”
According to Archer, Moxley encouraged him to make the most of the time he has and give the audience everything he could. He also told Archer to perform in honor of the wrestlers they had lost.
“And he said, you only get one lifetime, one. That’s it. And go out there and do what you do. Do it to the best of your ability. Entertain the people who came and paid hard money, and you do it in honor and remembrance of our fallen brothers.”
Archer repeated the instruction that helped him move forward with his appearance. It was a straightforward message about getting dressed, stepping into the ring and doing the work.
“So he said, you go out there and you perform. You put on your boots and you perform.”
The speech came just one night after PAC challenged Andrade for the National Championship at AEW All Out on September 26, 2026. Andrade retained the title, and by the following evening, Archer was addressing PAC’s passing in front of another live wrestling audience.
