Lance Archer became IWGP United States Champion as he defeated Jon Moxley during AEW Dynamite this week. That was a brutal Texas Deathmatch, and the Muderhawk Monster needs a bit of a break.

Archer logged onto Twitter and confirmed that he has pulled out of the SWE Fury Wrestling TV Show in Ludbock Texas. He blamed his brutal match against Moxley and his upcoming scheduled match on Dynamite for this cancellation.

So. Unfortunately I will NOT be appearing in Lubbock TX today for @SWEFuryTV

I want to thank #SWEFURY for their understanding that after my Brutal match on Wed and a Big match scheduled for this Wednesday. It was in everyone’s best interest that I take this time to recover.

It’s a shame when something like this needs to happen, but it is understandable. Lance Archer went through a lot on Wednesday and he needs to be in prime condition when he takes on Hikuleo at Fight for the Fallen next week.
