Lady Shani’s night at TripleMania 34 came to an abrupt end when officials decided she couldn’t continue. She was taken out of the match and checked by medical personnel, leaving plenty of concern over what had happened, but now there is now some encouraging news coming out of the show.
According to False Finish, sources revealed that Lady Shani is doing well after being pulled from the match and is showing no signs of having suffered a concussion.
The scare happened during the six-person mixed tag team Australian Rules Match featuring Adelicious, Mini Vikingo and Mascarita Sagrada against Shani, Jack Cartwheel and Mini Abismo. Early in the match, Shani appeared woozy after potentially being caught by a boot during the action. The referee quickly noticed something was wrong, checked on her and made the call to remove her from the ring. Medical officials continued examining Shani on the outside while the match carried on without her.
That left the remaining wrestlers to adjust on the fly. Cartwheel and Vikingo eventually squared off and traded athletic counters before Mini Abismo attacked Vikingo from behind. Mascarita Sagrada later made the hot tag and even surprised Cartwheel with a suplex variation before the action spilled outside.
Mini Vikingo eventually took over down the stretch, hitting a tope con hilo on Cartwheel before heading to the top rope. He finished Mini Abismo with a shooting star press to secure the victory for his team.
By then, though, Shani being pulled from the match had created a much bigger question than who won. Thankfully, the first word on her condition has eased those concerns. What looked like it could have turned into a rough night for Lady Shani instead appears to have ended with a much more encouraging update.
