La Parka is bringing the AAA Latin American Championship to Las Vegas, but there’s still one pretty big mystery hanging over the match — nobody knows who he’s defending it against yet.
During the September 5 episode of AAA on FOX, it was announced that La Parka will defend the title on night one of TripleManía 34 on September 11 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. AAA did not reveal his opponent, meaning La Parka now officially has a title defense on the card with the other side still listed as TBA. That gives night one another championship match as AAA continues loading up the Las Vegas half of the two-night event.
La Parka won the vacant AAA Latin American Championship at Ola de Calor on August 30, defeating Damian Priest, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and El Fiscal in a four-way match. Now his first TripleManía defense is locked in just days later. The updated TripleManía 34 lineup currently looks like this:
Night One — September 11, MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada
- Rey Mysterio with El Grande Americano vs. Omos with Dominik Mysterio and Dorian Roldán — if Omos wins, his AAA suspension is lifted; if Mysterio wins, Omos is gone from AAA forever
- AAA World Trios Championship: Psycho Circus vs. Perros del Mal
- Roxanne Perez vs. Nattie vs. Faby Apache vs. La Hiedra — winner receives an AAA Reina de Reinas Championship match at Worlds Collide
- L.W.O. vs. Los Americanos vs. Tokyo Bad Boys vs. Fraxiom in a four-way elimination tag team match
- AAA Latin American Championship: La Parka vs. TBA
Night Two — September 13 in Mexico City, Mexico
- AAA Mega Championship: Dominik Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano
- AAA Reina de Reinas Championship: Flammer vs. La Catalina
- AAA World Cruiserweight Championship: Rey Fenix vs. Mini Vikingo vs. Jack Cartwheel vs. Nathan Frazer
AAA also still has the Copa Bardahl match and El Carnicero vs. Psycho Clown in a Street Fight waiting to be assigned to one of the two nights.
