For months, there has been plenty of speculation about LA Knight’s relationship with Triple H. Now, Knight has addressed it himself, and his comments don’t exactly line up with some of the rumors that have been floating around.

Back in August, former WWE writer Vince Russo claimed that a WWE talent had told him Triple H didn’t like Knight and would even poke fun at him backstage. Russo argued that if the person running creative isn’t behind you, it becomes incredibly difficult to break through, regardless of how popular you are.

Speaking to Metro UK, Knight looked back at the backstage conversation he had with Triple H following Money in the Bank 2025, which was later shown on WWE Unreal. He admitted he listened to the feedback Triple H gave him, even though he didn’t necessarily see the match the same way. Knight explained that, from his point of view, the match had gone pretty much exactly how it was supposed to.

“I’m just sitting there listening to it, like, ‘Okay, yeah, all right.’ Obviously I’m gonna listen to what’s coming at me. I’m thinking to myself, ‘Well, everything went off pretty much without a hitch, as far as anybody can tell, as far as even I could tell.’”

It was noted that their relationship is in a good place. Knight then spoke about his relationship with WWE creative as a whole, making it clear that they’ve developed a good understanding of how he likes to work. Rather than scripting every little detail, Knight prefers having the freedom to connect with the audience naturally.

“We’ve kinda gotten that figured out between me and creative, where it’s like, I’m not the type that wants to have everything mapped out from A to Z. I don’t want the audience to have to think as much. I want them to feel.”

Whether Knight agreed with every piece of feedback or not, his comments don’t exactly match the narrative that he and Triple H have issues. In fact, he made it sound like the two have developed a solid working relationship, making those older rumors a lot harder to buy.
