LA Knight is finally addressing the rumors that he got backstage heat after holding up a fan sign targeting Jey Uso—and he’s shutting it down completely.
After his brief disappearance from WWE TV following the October 2025 episode of WWE Raw—where he grabbed a fan sign reading “We Want LA Knight, Not Jey Uso”—many assumed the moment led to backstage heat. The situation only led to more talk when Knight missed the November 3 episode and wasn’t referenced during a promo by CM Punk, despite being involved in a storyline at the time. Now, Knight has addressed it directly.
Speaking to SHAK Wrestling on April 17, 2026, Knight was asked whether there were any repercussions behind the scenes after that viral moment—and he didn’t hesitate to shut it down. He made it clear that no one backstage raised any issue with him over the sign, despite the online narrative that followed.
“No—nothing whatsoever. If there was, I surely was not aware of it. Nobody said a word or anything.”
Knight also explained how the moment even happened in the first place, framing it as a spontaneous reaction rather than a calculated move. And while the rumors took off online, Knight admitted he found the speculation more entertaining than anything else.
“I literally just saw something about LA Knight—‘We want LA Knight’—and I was like, ‘Oh, yeah.’ No—that’s a good life. I have found it humorous to see everybody speculating, though.”
This finally puts an end to months of theories about backstage punishment and creative fallout. What many assumed was a controversial moment leading to consequences now appears to have been just that—a moment. With Knight making it clear there was no heat and no fallout, the narrative around that Raw segment looks a lot different now.
