The person calling the shots during Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi’s wild RAW weigh-in has been revealed. Triple H was not just there to stand between them—he was controlling the segment and making changes while it was happening.
PWInsider states that Triple H dictated the Lesnar-Femi angle on the July 27 episode of RAW. He also called audibles in the ring for some of Femi’s physical spots.
The show opened with Hell in a Cell hanging over the ring as Lesnar and Femi arrived for their official weigh-in. Triple H and Adam Pearce were there to keep the situation under control. Femi stepped onto the scale first and weighed in at 302 pounds. Lesnar refused to enter the cell. Instead, he locked Femi inside while Paul Heyman announced that Lesnar had weighed in backstage at 303 pounds. Lesnar then grabbed the microphone and kept his message short.
“I’ll see you at SummerSlam, bitch.”
Femi fired back from inside the cell.
“Saturday is coming, and so is Hell in a Cell. No matter how free you think you are, I am not locked in here with you. You are locked in here with me.”
After Lesnar left, Femi took out the security guards inside the ring. Triple H was the key person steering the entire scene. He controlled the timing, helped guide the physical spots and made changes on the fly as the segment played out live. WWE wanted the final RAW before SummerSlam to make Lesnar and Femi feel dangerous, and Triple H was the person making sure every part of it landed.
