Kevin Nash and Scott Hall were close enough that Big Sexy handled one job most tag-team partners would have refused immediately—shaving Hall’s back.
The strange revelation came during the Kliq This podcast while Nash and Sean Oliver were talking about how wrestlers handled tanning and grooming on the road. Nash said modern spray-tanning products would have been difficult to use during his era because so many wrestlers had body hair. The conversation then turned to how someone would apply a tan or shave areas they could not reach alone. That was when Nash admitted he was Hall’s guy.
“It was the ultimate buddy system for me to shave Scott’s back.”
Oliver immediately asked whether that was really something Nash regularly did for Hall. Nash confirmed it and explained that wrestlers sometimes needed a trusted person to help with grooming while they were traveling.
“As a professional wrestler, you kind of needed your go-to if you had a hairy back or something.”
Nash said he barely had any body hair himself. Hall was a very different story.
“I barely had hair on my chest, but Scott was Teen Wolf.”
Oliver joked that Nash had become the point man for keeping Hall’s back under control. Nash said Hall was his best friend, so the job simply became part of their routine. Nash also said it was easier to keep up with the shaving instead of waiting months and starting over.
“I was his boy. Once you do it, it’s like, ‘Where’s your razor? Where’s the trimmer?’ Let’s stay on top of this. I don’t want to cut the lawn every three months. I’d rather just do the edging.”
Hall may have been known worldwide as Razor Ramon, but Nash has now revealed who was actually holding the razor behind the scenes.
