Kevin Nash has absolutely zero hesitation when it comes to Roman Reigns being the guy WWE can build around.

During the latest episode of the Kliq This podcast, Nash was asked for his take on Reigns after a fan questioned whether the WWE star really belongs in the GOAT conversation. The fan argued that Reigns benefited from a stronger push than names like Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins and Jon Moxley, but Nash wasn’t buying that as the whole story.

For Big Sexy, a huge part of the equation comes down to something you either have or you don’t — looking like a legitimate superstar. Nash pointed directly to Reigns’ marketability when comparing him to the other names brought up in the question.

“I think he’s got, of the three people you just mentioned with him, a very much more marketable look.”

Sean Oliver agreed that Roman absolutely looks the part, and Nash wasn’t finished. He explained that Reigns also has the voice and physical presentation needed to stand at the top of a company like WWE.

“Yeah. No, I think that’s so much. And he’s got a great voice. He, when he’s in shape—I mean, it just, he checks all the boxes.”

That’s when Oliver really put Nash on the spot. He asked the former WWE Champion whether, if he were sitting in the head of creative chair, he would actually feel comfortable handing Reigns the baton and trusting him to carry the company.

Nash didn’t hesitate for a second.

“** yes.”*

And just in case there was any confusion about where Nash stands on Roman, he followed it up with an even simpler endorsement.

“I’m a fan.”

That’s a pretty strong stamp of approval from a guy who knows exactly what it feels like to have a wrestling company put the ball in your hands. Nash spent years working at the highest level in both WWE and WCW, so he understands that being the face of a promotion requires a whole lot more than simply being good between the ropes.

Reigns has spent years dealing with the same debate Nash was asked about — whether WWE’s enormous investment in him created the star or whether Roman ultimately justified that investment by becoming one. Either way, WWE has repeatedly trusted Reigns in its biggest spots, and his position at the top of the card has continued deep into his career.

That was once again on display at WWE Money in the Bank 2026, where Reigns remained at the center of one of the company’s biggest stories. He has also made it very clear how seriously he views his place at the top, including declaring that the World Heavyweight Championship has become WWE’s most coveted prize.

There will always be fans arguing about how much Roman Reigns benefited from WWE pushing him harder than everyone else, but Nash clearly doesn’t care about playing that game. In his eyes, Roman looks like a superstar, sounds like a superstar and has everything necessary to carry the company. Big Sexy has seen plenty of guys get opportunities at the top over the years, and when it comes to Reigns, his answer couldn’t have been much more emphatic.
