Kevin Nash isn’t holding back on Donald Trump, and this time, Big Sexy put the former president on blast over Iran.
During the latest episode of Kliq This, Nash got deep into politics while talking about Israel, Iran, Netanyahu, and the current state of the world. The WWE Hall of Famer made it clear that he isn’t just throwing out random hot takes, either. He tied his comments to conversations he’s had with people close to him and how ugly the political divide has gotten.
Nash said he recently had a serious talk with his Jewish agent and longtime manager Barry Bloom, explaining that the fear some Jewish people are feeling right now hit him hard.
“I just had a long talk with my boss at my agency, and he’s Jewish, and he’s a great fing guy. He’s been good to me for a long time. He was talking with my manager Barry Bloom, who’s Jewish and has been a great friend, mentor, family to me for twenty-some years. I love him like a brother. My agent said he’s so scared that he’s Jewish and that it’s gotten that bad. Man, that fing breaks my heart because I don’t see somebody and think they’re my Jewish friend or my Black friend. They’re my friend.”
From there, Nash explained that he tries to separate people from governments and political leaders. He said he doesn’t hate Palestinians, Lebanese people, or Israelis, but he does believe the situation has been badly mishandled for generations.
“When I have my conversations with Christ and I’m asking Him for guidance, it’s just, ‘Love everybody the same.’ So I don’t hate the Palestinians, I don’t hate the Lebanese, and I don’t hate the Israelis. I just know it’s a really f**ed-up situation.”*
Then Nash got straight to the Trump part. He said he is not a fan of Benjamin Netanyahu or Donald Trump, before saying America was in a better position with Iran before Trump pulled apart the Obama-era agreement.
“I’m not a fan of Netanyahu. I’m not a fan of Donald Trump. I look at the situation that we’re in with Iran right now. I know that before he tore up what Obama did, we were in a better situation.”
Nash argued that the previous Iran agreement carried more weight because Russia and China were also attached to it. In his eyes, losing that backing hurt the United States.
“The agreement that Obama put together had the backing of Russia and China. Russia and China were also co-signers on that agreement. This new agreement does not have China or Russia as a co-signer. That’s a f**ing loss. We lost ground.”*
Nash then spoke directly to Trump, saying the former president should just own the mistake instead of trying to spin it.
“Donald Trump, you made a mistake. And that’s all I’ll say. I won’t say that… you just made a mistake. Just own up to that.”
Nash also said part of the problem is that people are forced to dig through social media, Reddit, podcasts, and whatever else they can find because they don’t feel like they’re getting clear information.
“We don’t get information. So then we all have to go out to this f**ing social media and Reddit and wherever else we can to deep dive and go on the internet and listen to podcasts.”*
Kevin Nash has never been afraid to speak his mind, and this was another one of those moments where he went way beyond wrestling. Whether fans agree with him or not, Nash made it clear that he believes Trump’s handling of Iran cost the country ground and that the mistake should be owned.
