Kerry Morton’s JCW career is suddenly hanging by a thread. Vince Russo has ordered him to compete in three matches over the next three weeks—and failure to beat his opponents within five minutes will cost him his job.

The ultimatum came during the August 29, 2026 episode of JCW Lunacy after Morton confronted Kaleb Konley and demanded another match. Morton claimed he could beat Konley if given one more shot, but Konley wanted nothing to do with it. He immediately shut down the challenge and made it clear their rivalry was finished.

“There will be no rematch.”

That’s when Russo appeared on a video feed from his home office and flipped the entire situation upside down. Russo informed Morton that he would be booked in three matches across the next three weeks. Morton must defeat his opponent within five minutes each time, or he will be fired from JCW.

The feed then cut back to Morton, who didn’t hesitate despite having his career placed on the line. He accepted Russo’s challenge and made it clear he was ready to prove himself.

Morton wanted another chance at Konley, but he walked away with something much more dangerous. He now has three weeks to survive Vince Russo’s five-minute tests—or his time in JCW is over.

Do you think Kerry Morton will survive all three matches, or is Vince Russo setting him up to be fired? Leave your feedback in the comments.
