Kendal Grey just won the biggest match of her career, but she is not acting like the work is over.

After defeating Lola Vice in the main event of WWE NXT: The Great American Bash 2026 to become the new NXT Women’s Champion, Grey took to Twitter and thanked fans for helping her get to the moment. Then she made it clear that the celebration is not lasting long.

“Wouldn’t have been able to do it without all of you guys.. back to the grind tomorrow🩶”

That is a pretty grounded response for someone who just walked out of the WWE Performance Center with the top women’s title in NXT. Grey had been chasing this opportunity for weeks after the women’s division got messy, and once she finally got Lola Vice one-on-one, she made it count.

The match closed out The Great American Bash and gave fans a tough back-and-forth fight. Lola had her moments, including a guillotine choke that looked like it might shut Grey down, but Kendal kept surviving until she finally got the clean pinfall. Just like that, NXT had a new women’s champion.

Grey’s win also made it a huge night for WrenQCC. Earlier in the show, her partner retained the Women’s WWE Speed Title against Ariana Grace, and then Grey capped everything off by taking the NXT Women’s Championship in the main event.

Now the real test starts. Winning the title is one thing, but keeping it in a division this chaotic is a whole different problem. Judging by her tweet, Kendal Grey already knows that.
