Karrion Kross didn’t hold back while speaking with D-Von Dudley about the transition from WWE NXT to the company’s main roster, and he believes several former NXT stars were intentionally toned down once they got called up.

During the discussion, Kross pointed to multiple names he felt were repackaged or altered after building strong momentum in NXT under Triple H.

“They messed with Keith Lee’s thing. They were telling Adam Cole to shave his head. He was going to be a manager. Like what? I mean, they just had him go over on Bryan Danielson. There was all kinds of people that had equity built up from NXT that if you were to put them on main roster and you were to book them anything less than how they were perceived by the audience on NXT, it wouldn’t look right.”

Kross then admitted he hated even using the phrase, but he genuinely felt former NXT acts were being intentionally presented as less important after arriving on the main roster.

“So, it felt like there was a lot of us coming up and I hate to use the word, but it felt like creatively we were being sabotaged to look less than what we previously were on NXT.”

D-Von responded by bringing up the idea that wrestlers often became labeled internally as either “Triple H guys” or “Vince guys,” suggesting that some talent may have been caught in the middle of creative politics behind the scenes.

The conversation touched on several familiar fan frustrations over the years, especially involving stars like Keith Lee and Adam Cole, who many fans believed lost momentum after leaving NXT.
