Kali Armstrong just punched her ticket to one of the biggest matches at NXT Heatwave. During WWE NXT on August 25, 2026, Armstrong defeated ZARIA to earn a spot in the Winner Takes All championship match on August 30.
Armstrong entered the non-title match knowing exactly what was at stake. A victory over the NXT Women’s North American Champion would add her to ZARIA’s title unification match against WWE Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair at Heatwave.
Both women immediately tried to overpower each other, with ZARIA eventually knocking Armstrong down and slamming her into the canvas. Armstrong refused to stay down and used her strength to throw ZARIA around before taking the fight outside the ring with a high crossbody from the top rope.
The physical battle continued as Armstrong delivered a superplex and later planted ZARIA with a powerbomb for a near fall. ZARIA answered with a pump kick and German suplex before attempting to finish the match with an F5.
Armstrong escaped the F5 and caught ZARIA with a roll-up to score the three-count. The victory officially added Armstrong to the Heatwave match, turning ZARIA vs. Wren Sinclair into a three-way championship showdown.
Kali Armstrong will now face ZARIA and Wren Sinclair in a Winner Takes All match with the NXT Women’s North American Championship and WWE Women’s Speed Championship both at stake. One woman could leave Heatwave holding both titles.
