Kairi’s future is still hanging in the balance, even with plenty of signs pointing toward AEW.

The former WWE star has been one of the most closely watched free agents on the market, and AEW has remained firmly in the conversation for months. There’s clearly interest, there have been ongoing discussions, and Kairi is also set to appear on Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea cruise.

That has only pushed the speculation even further. Kairi being booked for Jericho’s cruise naturally puts her around AEW talent and gives fans another reason to wonder if a deal is getting closer. On top of that, expectations around her future have become pretty strong, with AEW looking like the most obvious landing spot from the outside.

Still, there’s a big difference between momentum and a signed contract. Sean Ross Sapp made that part clear during his latest Q&A when addressing where things currently stand. Pasted text

“She has not yet though. Just has not yet.”

That’s the key detail in all of this. Kairi may be surrounded by AEW speculation, she may be appearing on Jericho’s cruise, and the expectation may be leaning heavily in one direction, but she is still not locked into an AEW deal.

Until that changes, her future remains open. AEW may still end up being the destination, but this isn’t at the finish line yet. Kairi is still a free agent, and until the paperwork is done, there’s room for this situation to take another turn.

Do you think Kairi eventually signs with AEW, or could another company still make a move? Let us know what you think in the comments.
