KAIRI may be exploring life after WWE, but one thing hasn’t changed—her friendship with Asuka. In fact, the Kabuki Warriors even reunited recently.
Asuka uploaded a new video to her YouTube channel that reunited her with KAIRI for the first time since KAIRI’s WWE release earlier this year. The two were all smiles from the moment they met up, making it clear they hadn’t missed a beat despite no longer being in the same company.
The reunion also happened to fall around KAIRI’s birthday, with Asuka surprising her by wishing her a happy birthday before the pair exchanged gifts. The video was filled with laughs, hugs and plenty of genuine moments as the longtime friends caught up on camera.
It’s the first time fans have seen the former Kabuki Warriors together since KAIRI became a free agent, and the timing couldn’t have been better. Just days ago, Chris Jericho announced that KAIRI will be appearing on his upcoming Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea cruise, while Asuka recently shut down rumors that she had quietly left WWE by making it clear, “I haven’t left the group. I haven’t quit.”
For wrestling fans, though, this wasn’t about contracts or future plans. It was simply about seeing two close friends back together again, and judging by the video, both Asuka and KAIRI were just as happy about the reunion as everyone watching. Whether they ever share a wrestling ring again remains to be seen, but this reunion is sure to get fans talking about the possibility.
