Joey Janela isn’t letting Dylan Bostic control the narrative. After their wild fight at GCW Indianapolis on January 31, Janela has released new unseen footage that paints a different picture from what Bostic originally shared.
Taking to Twitter, Janela dropped a new video showing bystanders holding Bostic down after the initial scuffle, only letting him up once things had cooled down. Along with the clip, Janela set the record straight:
“Here’s the final unseen video and conclusion, could’ve smashed this dude but he begged for mercy & I let him go. Then Calvin Tankman grabbing him and carrying him towards the door as he screamed.”
Janela also reminded everyone that he was already injured when the fight went down: “I was sitting there in pain with a torn bicep, trying to meet fans and sell some shirts. But somehow to some of you, I’m the bad guy & also a giant pussy?”
This latest footage directly contradicts Bostic’s attempts to frame the fight as a one-sided beatdown. Janela has been vocal that Bostic was the aggressor, storming his merch table and flipping it over, which led to fists flying before the situation was broken up.
The fight stems from a years-long beef between the two that started over a controversial AEW pay dispute in 2020, where Bostic accused the company of slashing his pay. Janela dismissed him then, and after ignoring Bostic’s repeated challenges to a boxing or MMA fight, things finally boiled over when Bostic confronted him in person.
Janela ended his post with a message to anyone thinking of pulling the same stunt at a GCW event: “This is a nice lesson for everyone never to try and attempt some bullshit at a GCW Show. Enjoy the Royal Rumble.”
At this point, Joey Janela is done talking—but the internet sure isn’t. With new footage out in the wild, the debate over what really went down at GCW Indianapolis isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Did Bostic bite off more than he could chew, or is Janela just trying to control the story? Either way, one thing’s for sure—this fight is going to live on in wrestling infamy.
With the fight now fully out in the open, the question remains—does this new footage change how fans see what happened? W Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
