Joe Hendry’s WWE deal isn’t just official—it’s loaded. While the former TNA star has been making waves in NXT lately, it turns out he’s being paid like a main roster talent, not a developmental prospect.

Hendry officially signed with WWE after his TNA contract expired. That much had been expected for months. But the bigger reveal came during a Fightful Select Q&A, when Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Hendry’s future in NXT. His answer exposed the real story behind the scenes.

“Well, he’s on a main roster level deal from what I understand. By that, I mean making above the main roster minimum,” Sapp said. “I think with him coming in, we’re likely to see a Ricky Saints or Ethan Page move up, and then Hendry is the next guy up on NXT with familiarity outside WWE. But that’s just a hunch. I think he will be Mr. Iguana-esque, where he pops up here and there as well.”

Main roster WWE salaries typically fall in the $300,000 to $400,000 range, not including bonuses, merch, and pay-per-view earnings. That kind of paycheck for someone primarily working NXT shows how serious WWE is about Hendry’s upside.

The length of Hendry’s contract hasn’t been disclosed, but WWE’s typical structure gives us a clue. NXT deals usually run one to three years, while main roster contracts stretch to three or five. With Hendry earning above the main roster minimum, it’s very likely that he signed a three-year contract—but nothing has been confirmed yet.

For now, Hendry remains active on NXT. So while he may be working Tuesdays, Joe Hendry’s bank account is living like it’s Monday Night Raw.
